The Department of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh
While attending the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, Jerome Uffner helped raise more than $50,000 for the Arthritis Foundation through his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta. Jerome Uffner earned a bachelor of arts in economics and political science from the university.
The Department of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences offers several programs to help students prepare for careers as accountants, insurance underwriters, market research analysts, and financial analysts and examiners. Economics majors can pursue careers at corporations, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and many other places of business.
The bachelor of arts degree in economics at the University of Pittsburgh requires students to complete 28 credits in economics courses along with the Dietrich School standard requirements for a BA degree. The university features an Undergraduate Economics Society to help economics students with academic needs. The society also helps students in other programs get a better understanding of the effects of day-to-day economics.
